The 34th LEN European Water Polo Championships will be held in Budapest, Hungary between 12-26 January 2020.
About the venue – DUNA ARÉNA
Duna Aréna was the main venue of the FINA World Aquatics Championships in 2017. This state-of-the-art water sports complex was built within two years, which was a kind of world-record time. It has two Olympic size swimming-pools, and more than 5300 seats during the competitions. The remarkable complex has become one of the most important sport and festival centers of Hungary, offering entertainment for thousands of people.
Sustainability and the environment-friendliness were the two main principles to follow when constructing the complex, which was designed and built by Hungarian people. It has a programmable fountain, praising the creativity of students at Moholy-Nagy University of Art, which can create different configurations.
