Day 1 results

Crvena Zvezda, the favorite team opened the match with a 2-goal advantage against Partizan. Later, however, Partizan, scored 6 goals quickly taking the lead and keeping it until the middle of the last quarter. Then, Crvena Zvezda earned 5 goals and that equalized the game to a final score of 10-10 (3-4, 3-0, 2-1, 2-5).

HAVK Mladost rushed to an 18-6 (5-2, 4-0, 5-3, 4-1) victory against Mornar. While Mornar performed well, last year’s winner could not be stopped. They opened the game with a 3-goal lead, then it rose to a 9-2 score. After halftime, Mornar played better, but the goals earned were not enough to win.

Jug – Budva 23:9 (5:1, 6:4, 7:2, 5:2)
During the third match, Jug Dubrovnik showed no mercy to Budva. The 4-times Regional League winner recorded a tremendous 23-9 (5-1, 6-4, 7-2, 5-2) win over Budva. The game seemed like a kid’s play for Jug rather than a match.

Serbian champions, Sabac convincingly beat Primorac 15-6 (3-1, 3-2, 5-1, 4-2). Although the first two quarters were tight, from the second half of the game, Sabac’s victory was expected.
