World Championships: Women’s Classification Match 1: Canada won with Penalties

In the third match today, Canada and China had an intense fight. What seemed an easy game for Canada, China quickly equalized in the second quarter. Then took over and was leading by 3 goals. About 30 seconds before the final whistle, Canada equalized to 10-10. Now, penalties were left to decide which team wins.

Both Canada and China scored their 5 penalties, so they continued with the game. China scored their 6th goal and Canada followed. The score is now 16-16. Canada saved China’s shots, but Canada scored the goal, so Canada won 17-16.
