“This summer we had an initial budget for a certain type of team,” Gallinoro explained. Due to the absence of Paolo during the conference, we meet him only on 30 July (the meeting took place on 29, ed). We told him that we would not be able to keep the budget, and that we were forced to review the idea of hiring three foreigners. Hearing the news of budget reduction, Zizza decided not to take on the job for this season. The following day the director Luca Piscopo and I contacted him. We had no intention of dismantling the team. But Zizza has maintained this position and we have been forced to find an alternative solution. ”
“We have already started negotiations with Christian Andrè – Gallinoro continued – to implement the youth sector, collaborating with San Mauro, and then we asked him if he was willing to replace Paolo. Christian was very brave. Then we had talked with the team, and while there was resistance in the beginning, I must thank Biagio Borrelli who was the first to let Christian say. Then, the others followed as well.”
